Marita Palomino

Hola, ¿qué tal? This is Marita from Ica, a city set on a valley on the southern coast of Peru, between the desert and the mountains, which is the hub of the cultural and economic dynamics in the region and it’s famous for being the origin of our national liquor, the Pisco.

I am an architect and I like to think about my professional activity, which includes consulting in the Regional Direction of Housing, a teaching assistantship in the local university and a private practice in a design studio, as an opportunity for a comprehensive approach to reality, which allows me to understand and improve it.

I love art as a way of expression and in all its manifestations: painting, sculpture, photography, music, poetry… architecture! I enjoy doing art projects with kids and preparing art interventions with friends as well as yoga, swimming and cooking.
Colorado seems to be a place of a complex and impressive geography, an important history and an interesting cultural life whose soul I would like to discover during this trip.
